Disc Couplings:
Disc couplings are a non lubricated metal flexing coupling offering no backlash, wide temperature range, visual inspection and no wearing parts. From spacer couplings to close coupled, high performance, full and semi floating. Torque ranges up to 2,846,000 lb. in and bore ranges over 14” disc couplings offer economical solutions to many medium and heavy-duty applications.
Gear Couplings:
Gear couplings have been the mainstays of medium to heavy-duty applications for over a half-century. Generally gear couplings excel in the high torque slow speed applications. Elastomeric Couplings:
Elastomeric couplings offer economy, versatility, and low maintenance. T.B.Woods and Rexnord Corp. two of the more commonly used (Sure-flex) and (Omega) couplings are in stock ready to ship. Elastomeric couplings need no lubrication, have no metal to rubber or metal to metal rubbing action to cause excessive ware and are not effective by abrasives, dirt or moisture. With bore to 6” and torque ratings through 72,500 lb.in. elastomeric couplings truly offer the best bang for the buck.
Composite Couplings:
The Addax composite coupling developed in 1986 for the Aero space industry offer high misalignment, no fretting or corrosion, extended single spans with out bearings, low weight, and corrosion resistance. Typical industrial applications include cooling tower fan drives, paper machinery, printing presses, and pumps and compressors.
